2013 GIFs of the Year: The Majors

Over the next two weeks, I’ll be posting my 2013 Golf GIF Roundups, broken down into several ‘Best Of’ categories. Today, we look back at the moments from the four major championships.
Previous posts: The Best of Tiger Woods
2013 was a great year for golf, and as usual, the major championships delivered some of the best moments of the year. I think there’s an argument to be made that 2013 gave us the best collection of majors in at least a decade. The Adam Scott/Angel Cabrera duel at Augusta probably wasn’t topped, but Merion was a fantastic host of the U.S. Open and while Phil Mickelson couldn’t close the door on his first U.S. Open win, he did what many thought was impossible and won the Open Championship. To close it out, Jason Dufner emerged as a superstar with his win at Oak Hill, using a supreme ball striking display to lift the Wanamaker Trophy for his first major championship win.
Below are the moments that I’ll remember from the majors in 2013. If you hover over each image, you’ll get a brief description of why it made the list.
