How to save Olympic golf

Over the last few weeks, I was able to go back and forth with freelance writer Shane Ryan on the problems with the current setup of golf in the Olympics in 2016. Shane proposed that the format should really follow a World Cup style draw with teams of two based on the Official World Golf Rankings and I volunteered some help with assembling the groups.
