2014 GIFs of the Year: The Rage
Over the next two weeks, I’ll be posting my 2014 Golf GIF Roundups, broken down into several ‘Best Of’ categories. Today, we look back at some of the angriest moments in golf over the past twelve months.
Previous 2014 posts: The Shanks & The Laughs
We’ve all done it.
Cruising along in the middle of a good round and you make the turn in just a couple over par. You head to the back and you open with a bogey, and then another. Then, on the 12th tee, you send your ball so far right that Mitt Romney wouldn’t go near it and you decide to take out your anger on the ground that obviously made you slice the ball so horribly.
Just like with the Shanks post linked above though, the pros do the same thing. As much as we all love this game, I think we’re all in agreement that at points, it can also make you never want to return. At some point, we’ve all felt like this guy:
Below are the best golf rage GIFs from 2014.
- Chris Kirk is a little upset.
- Stroud breaks a driver.
- Erik Compton, wide right.
- Stenson snaps a wedge and calmly hands it to his caddie.
- The Matsuyama “crater” that had Ian Poulter so upset.
- Ian Poulter is a little angry.
- Ian Poulter.
- J.B. Holmes takes out some frustration on a bunker, but then he “rakes” it.
- Keegan gives his bag a good kick.
- Definitely the wedge’s fault, Keegan.
- The always angry Marcel Siem.
- That’s one angry mechanic.
- Patrick Reed slams the iron down.
- Thomas Bjorn.
- Rory didn’t care much for that shot.
