Golf GIFs of the Week: January 27th

How did Tiger play at Torrey Pines? Well…
When I posted last week’s best GIFs, I talked about how interesting the week was and I figured that it was going to be nearly impossible to surpass in terms of newsworthy events.
Man, was I wrong.
We can debate how newsworthy the week was, but it was every bit as interesting as the previous one, with Sergio Garcia picking up his second win in three starts in a playoff against Mikko Ilonen, Scott Stallings outlasting a massive amount of contenders at the Farmers, and the shocking implosion of Tiger Woods at arguably his favourite course, Torrey Pines.
Here’s the best from the previous week in GIF form.

The new king of the club drop, Jordan Spieth.

On back-to-back holes.

Qatari cat on the green!

John Daly knew this was going in.

Been there, Luke.

Billy Horschel doesn’t need that ball anymore.

Tiger bows to the fans after finally making a birdie on the 7th.

On his final hole, this chunk pretty much summed it up for Tiger.

He did hit the most clutch putt I’ve ever seen for 79 though.

I think Pablo Larrazabal had a mark of some kind on the green.

Tremendous bunker shot from Morgan Hoffmann on Saturday at the Farmers.

This bunker shot from Sergio on the second playoff hole allowed him to continue.

Henrik Stenson strikes one in Qatar.

How thick was Torrey Pines’ rough this week? Very.

Incredible pitch here by Gary Woodland.

Mikko Ilonen needs you, yes you, to move.

Jordan Spieth wasn’t happy with this tee shot.

Neither was Gary Woodland.

Calm down, Robert Garrigus.

Not the best putt from Gary Woodland.

Stewart Cink goes off the tent.

Tiger greets Peter Kostis.

Sergio and his new (old) caddie celebrate after winning in Qatar.

Sergio Garcia lifts the winner’s trophy in Qatar.
